Christmas Dreamin'

I'm trying to get a Christmas blog up and going.

HOHOHO!

This little scene was in our front yard this past Christmas.
Our entire family and a neighbor helped build the manger together.  I had to keep bringing the baby into the house because of rain, rain, rain all winter here.  My momma gave me this Cabbage Patch baby when I was 18 yrs old.  I think it is a God wink that I named him Timothy and then married Scott whose sir name is Timothy.  lol

We used scrap lumber out of the garage to pull it together.
Our lil princess helper is use to being in her daddy's garage workshop with this kind of thing going on.  :0)

Power tools, oh...my.

We even had the straw for baby Jesus from our garden shed.

I die-cut cardstock and laid it out on an inside out boyscout sign that we were told to throw out when the fall registration was done.  I used clear packing tape to seal it all from the weather.

This blog is where I'll find the courage to start a meme this fall as I get lil gifts together and organize my Christmas collections.  I really hope to do like Debbie at A Debbie Dabble Christmas and have many trees displayed this year.  I think I can..I think I can...I think I can.

I'm tagging in at:
Friday Finding Beauty with Claudia at Dipity Road
Friday Show n Tell with Cindy at My Romantic Home
Pink Saturday with Beverly at How Sweet the Sound

Come along and see all the inspirational posts!

  1. Denise,
For a pic with your header, click on design in right upper hand corner after you sign in to your blog. Then go to add a gadget pn the right side and click on that. Scroll down to where you can add a picture and that is where you can chose what you want as your header pic from your computer. Just add the pic and nothing else. Then go back to blogger and drag the gadget space with that pic underneath your title. I hope I am making sence and this helps.

  9. Denise,
What great idea for a family project!!
After all, isn't that what Christmas is all about??? Family!!
I started by always having a tree in each of my boys room that they decorated themselves. Then I bought a lot of different kind of ornaments and wanted to have various theme trees and it took off from there!
Congrats on your new Christmas blog!!

    Hugs,
    Debbie
